APAGE 2025 International Gynecological Ablation Workshop

We are pleased to recap the successful 2nd International Gynecological Ablation Workshop, held on September 3–4 in Shanghai as a pre-congress event of the APAGE Annual Congress. The workshop brought together 35 participants from over 10 countries.

A major focus was on microwave ablation techniques for uterine fibroids and adenomyosis, led by our Course Director, Dr. Gong Xiaoming. The event featured 5 live surgeries, including percutaneous microwave ablation, transvaginal ablation, laparoscopic ablation, and live endometrial ablation demonstration, along with model drills and lectures. Dr. Gong shared key insights on patient selection, imaging, and complications, fostering valuable international dialogue.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all APAGE organizers, Congress Chairperson Prof. Sun Jing, and all participating experts for their contributions. A special thanks to Dr. Gong for his exceptional leadership and expertise in advancing modern ablation techniques, which greatly enriched the learning experience for all attendees.
