On February 18, 2025, it is our tremendous privilege to have four experts from Indonesia to participate in the workshop on The Clinical Application of Microwave Ablation on Liver conducted by the Ultrasound Department in Shuguang Hospital, Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The Ultrasound Department in Shuguang Hospital has accumulated rich experience in the diagnosis and treatment of liver cancer, especially in the field of ultrasound-guided microwave ablation (MWA) on liver cancer. Taking this opportunity, two live demonstrations showed the microwave ablation (MWA) for liver tumors under local and general anesthesia.The procedures showcased the real-time imaging, precise needle placement, and ablation skills, emphasizing the safety and efficacy of MWA. The Indonesian experts actively participated in the discussion, asking questions about technical details and patient outcomes.

The workshop provided an in-depth understanding of MWA as a minimally invasive treatment for liver tumors, emphasizing both theoretical knowledge and practical applications. It fostered international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
